Gate Rebrands Around Gate Money as It Pushes an All-in-One Finance App Beyond Crypto Trading

Gate has unveiled Gate Money, a new app that combines cash balances, crypto, stocks, gold and other assets in a single account, with card-based spending tied to those holdings. Founder and CEO Lin Han told CoinDesk the company wants to move beyond serving professional traders and reach a broader consumer base, with Asia seen as a key market. He said Gate plans to let users convert assets at any time, including outside regular stock-market hours, though he did not explain how pricing or execution would work when underlying markets are closed. The launch places Gate in a widening race among crypto platforms to turn exchange accounts into broader consumer-finance products, alongside efforts by Coinbase, Binance, Bybit and Robinhood.
